Regarding battery, i dont' know if drain is more with OHR, with 3 leds continuosly flashing and processing power to detect pulses from noise, or simple receiving ant+ packets. I think garmin should implement use of an external hrm, if a user want.
Like I said, the Venu and Vivoactive 4 are basically the same watch. The only major differences are that the Venu has a higher-end design and an incredibly crisp display. Hey there, with the Fitbit Versa 2 being pretty new, I'm lacking enough information to compare Garmin's Vivoactive 3. From my understanding, Fitbit has much better sleep monitoring and that's important to me, but I've seen it said that the Vivoactive 3 is better made and more accurate overall. I bought the Vivoactive 3 from Amazon India and today I have returned it. I am a Garmin user for 3 years ( Vivosmart HR, Vivosmart HR+ and Vivoactive HR ). On second day the after syncing with Garmin express and a full recharge, closed Garmin express and dismounted the USB device and removed the watch from charging cable. That is it. Really good. Exercises - I haven't explored the full range of exercises explored here, but the Strength one usually identifies reps well, as well as whether I'm doing pull ups, push ups, or something else.
