i will be getting a new bumper which will need to be painted. i need to know how to find out what color i need as there is like 3 or 4 blacks for the e39i put cosmos black on the fest as a guess, i dont honestly know and i dont wanna guess on a whole bumper. my car doesnt have the strut tower or door stickers to give me the paint code and its not in the vin so vin decoder is useless. thanks

Shielding prevents the wire from hearing electrical interference given off from the alternator and a few other electrical components that contain motors. I recognize the photo in the original post as being my cluster (see How to replace Double Temperature Switch BMW E39 525i) so I know the OP has seen at least some of what I write below.
