That's the sound which brought me here, even if it isn't OP's issue. It's the sound that you hear when you mark enemies or when friendly NPCs get tagged automatically. But it just happens randomly. You find a fix for it?

For example, the sound that plays when shooting an AK-47; if that file is 12288 bytes and you replace it with a slightly different size audio file, the game might crash
There are ways to mod the game and extract the resources (Dunia2 tools). Unfortunately, the sounds seem to be in a Ubisoft proprietary *.spk or *.sbao format, which haven't been reverse engineered to wav/mp3/ogg yet.
So if your PC (or really any console) only has 2 speakers (stereo sound) then you need to make sure Windows (or whatever console) is not configured for surround. Control Panel > Sound > Playback > Click on the speakers you're using > Configure > Set the audio to Stereo. Mine was set to 5.1 Dolby and switching it to stereo fixed it immediately.

The flickering effect isn't my fault. It's an engine bug that was introduced since RC18 and applies to all particle effects bigger in size than 2x2 units. I tried contacting the devs about this issue but they were too busy with 1.5.1 back then it seems. They'll have to be the ones to fix it, I cannot do anything.
